St. Mary's Catholic Church
Location 5

The Church here is the Roman Catholic Church, The inside of this church as it was in 1951 was used in the film. It was then in the shape of a cross with a renowned Harry Clarke stained glass window over the main alter. When Ford found out how famous the stained glass window was he had the camera crew slow down the scene when John Wayne walks back down the aisle that's why his walk looks very peculiar in the film. But the window as been moved since the film was made as you can see from this picture, there is now a cross behind the alter and the window is on the right.
