The dam is then completed but when the Mesquiteers check on the site, they see there was no intention of building a pipeline.

Hatari! 1962, Sean Mercer {John Wayne} and his ensemble cast cavort over the African landscape filling orders from zoo's for wild animals. {Bruce Cabot} plays "The Indian", is gored by a rhino in the opening scenes of the film. Dallas {Elsa Martinelli} shows up as a woman photographer from a Swiss zoo, and John wants to send her packing. She strong-arms the Duke into letting her stay by promising that her zoo will buy most of their animals this season if she's allowed to go along on the hunts and take photos.

Janet Cater {Sheila Terry} also returns although her father lost his half share to Joe Ryan { Harry Woods}. Ryan and his gang are also there to get the gold. A mysterious Phantom is also present. Mason's plan to expose Ryan as an outlaw and to force him to turn his share to Janet works. But when distracted by the Phantom, John is captured by the gang.

Later Lane has a run-in with Angie's reprobate husband {Leo Gordon} and is forced to kill him, not knowing who he is. Vittorio captures Lane and to save his life, Angie tells the Apache chief that Lane is her husband, unaware that Lane has killed her husband.

Along with them is sent a doctor {William Holden} who causes instant antipathy between him and the commander {John Wayne}. How The West Was Won 1962, The history of Western expansion in the United States as told by the story of one pioneer family's history. Zebulon Prescott {Karl Malden} takes his family from New York, heading West in the early 1800s. His children and grandchildren eventually reach the Western shore after years of hardship, war, and struggle.

He heads for Samari, a desert hot-bed of tribal unrest in Africa, to do just that, which includes getting footage of El Kadar, {Charles Brokaw} bandit and rebel leader. He gets his pictures but only after a romance with the Colonel's daughter Pamela {Gwen Gaze}, saving his wimpy, hacked-off brother Don {James Bush} from being a dupe of the gun-runners, and run-ins with spies and throat-cutting tribesman.
