We are now at the location of the big fight scene. In 1951 this was a hayfield, Sean had took his wife off the Dublin train and was walking her back to Danagher's the whole long way. Sean Thornton marches up and shouts "Danagher, you owe me £350, lets have it." Danagher  "You'll get your money never." Thornton "No fortune, no marriage, we call it quits." Then he flings Mary Kate at her brothers feet. Danagher then unwillingly gives him the money, Mary Kate and Thornton then throw the long awaited money into the fire box of the hay making machine. Mary Kate says to Sean " I'll be going home now I'll have your supper ready for you" Sean as proud as punch turns round only to receive a punch from Danagher which sends him sprawling, as he gets to his feet he says ok you asked for it, and the fight is on.
