The Magnificent Showman 1964, In the early years of the 20th century, Matt Masters {John Wayne} takes his rambling Wild West Show to Europe. His decision is prompted by his desire to find Lili Alfredo, {Rita Hayworth} who disappeared fourteen years earlier following the death of her husband, The Flying Alfredo. At the time it was believed that Alfredo dove to his death deliberately when he realized his wife loved Matt and not him. Toni, {Claudia Cardinale} a beautiful trapeze performer, raised by Matt is actually Lili's daughter, and she is in love with Steve McCabe, {John Smith} one of the stars on Matt's show.

the man from monterey

The Man From Monterey 1933, Captain John Holmes {John Wayne} has been sent to encourage the Spanish landowners in California to register their land. To keep Don Jose {Lafe McKee} from registering his, Don Pablo {Francis Ford} kidnaps him. Earlier Holmes did a favour for Morgan {Slim Whitaker} and his ruffian gang by keeping them from being arrested. Now he calls on Morgan to repay that favour by helping him fight Don Pablo and his men.

the man from utah

The Man From Utah 1934, The Marshal {George 'Gabby' Hayes} sends John Weston {John Wayne} to a rodeo to see if he can find out who is killing the rodeo riders who are about to win the prize money. Barton {Edward Peil Sr} has organized the rodeo and plans to leave with all the prize money put up by the townspeople. When it appears that Weston will beat Barton's rider, he has his men prepare the same fate for him that befell the other riders.

The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance 1962, Senator Ranse Stoddard {James Stewart} returns to the city of Shinbone to go to the funeral of his friend, Tom Doniphon {John Wayne}. To a journalist, who's wondering what the senator is doing in Shinbone, he tells how his career started as "the man who shot Liberty Valance". As a lawyer he went to Shinbone, where he met his wife Hallie {Vera Miles} and Tom Doniphon. He taught the people there to read and write. Then he met the greatest outlaw of the region, Liberty Valance {Lee Marvin}.

Mc.Q 1974,  In Seattle, two uniformed police officers and plainclothesman Stan Boyle {William Bryant} are found shot,  Boyle's partner, Lt. Lon Mc.Q, {John Wayne} is certain local hood Manuel Santiago {Al Lettieri} is behind these killings, especially after a known hitman employed by Santiago tries to kill McQ. McQ investigates the killing of his best friend and uncovers corrupt elements of the police department dealing in confiscated drugs.

'Neath The Arizona Skies 1934 Chris Morrell, {John Wayne} the guardian of half-Indian girl Nina {Shirley Jean Rickert}, is helping her find her missing white father. so she can cash in on her late mother's oil lease. Outlaw Sam Black {Yakima Canutt} is after the girl and her father as well. Besides dealing with the Black gang, Morrell has to find another robber, Jim Moore {Jay Wilsey}, who switches clothes with him after he finds Chris unconscious from a fight with Sam Black.

the night riders

The Night Riders 1939, Hazleton {Walter Wills} forges a Spanish land grant and then gets card cheat Talbot {George Douglas} to pose as the owner Don Luis. When the court rules it authentic, they start to kick the ranchers off the land. The Three Mesquiteers are included and fight back as the mysterious Night Riders. When Stony {John Wayne} meets Don Luis he remembers him as the card sharp and sets out to prove him a fake.

North To Alaska 1960, Sam  {John Wayne} and George {Stewart Granger}  strike gold in Alaska. George sends Sam to Seattle to bring George's fiancé back to Alaska. Sam finds she is already married, and returns instead with Angel {Capucine}. Sam, after trying to get George and Angel together, finally romances Angel, who, in the meantime, is busy fighting off the advances of George's younger brother, Billy {Fabian}. Frankie {Ernie Kovacs} is a con man trying to steal the partner's gold claim.

These issues pull at him during a hazardous mission against the Japanese in World War II.

overland stage raiders

Overland Stage Raiders 1938, Starring John Wayne, Ray Corrigan, Max Terhune and Louise Brooks, With the stage being held up regularly, the Mesquiteers decide an airplane would be better so they get the ranchers to sell their cattle and invest in the new airline. But when a gold shipment goes out, the stage line owner has his men hijack the plane. The pilot discharges the gas causing a forced landing and the Mesquiteers must now find the missing plane and recover the gold.

They arrive in the town where Curly Joe {Yakima Canutt} runs his counterfeiting operation. Carter was once framed by Curly Joe and Curly Joe tries to get rid of him. But John foils his attempts and learning Curly Joe is the counterfeiter, goes after him.

Rainbow Valley 1935, Starring John Wayne, Lucile Browne, George 'Gabby' Hayes, LeRoy Mason and Jay Wilsey, Rainbow Valley needs a new road and newcomer John Martin {John Wayne} agrees to build it. Rogers {LeRoy Mason} is out to stop it and alters the town's petition to the Governor thereby obtaining the release of his boss Butch Galt {Jay Wilsey}. John and Butch were cell mates in prison. So Butch gets John to agree to wreck the road and furnishes him with dynamite. But dynamite is just what John needs to finish the work and he hopes to take care of Butch's gang at the same time.

the range feud

The Range Feud 1931, Starring Buck Jones, John Wayne, Susan Fleming, Will Walling and Edward LeSaint. 'Dad' Turner {Will Walling} accuses John Walton {Edward LeSaint} of cattle rustling. Intervention by Sheriff Buck Gordon {Buck Jones} prevents a clash, but Walton serves notice he will shoot on sight the first Turner man who crosses to his side of the boundary. Buck remembers that his pal, Clint Turner {John Wayne} is visiting his sweetheart, Judy Walton {Susan Fleming}, and he heads for the Walton ranch, where he finds John Walton dead and Walton's men accusing Clint of the crime. Buck is forced to arrest Clint and a hasty trial convicts him and he is sentenced to hang.
